On a beautiful evening in the heart of Stormwind, the people of Old Town gathered together for a special sermon led by Father Donovan Clark and Sir Drake Taylor, Warden of the Cathedral Chapter. The sermon, held in Old Town across from the Pig and Whistle, was focused on the Holy Light and its power to guide and protect the people of Azeroth.
"I recall when I first came to Old Town, you were all miserable and lost. But no more. With the efforts made by Master Reid, Miss Natalie Wright and others, they have introduced and allowed for the Holy Divine to find home even here, even in your hearts," Father Clark began his sermon.
Natalie Wright, who had been instrumental in bringing the Holy Light to Old Town, or at least this sermon, nodded in agreement. She had seen first hand the power of the Light to bring hope and healing to the people of the town.
"There was a time when I too was lost and doubtful, yet the Light prevailed as it always has and opened mine eyes, as it has opened your own," Father Clark continued. "And so I stand not as just some Holy man, but as one of your own, a comrade."
Father Clark recognized the struggles that the people of Old Town had faced, but he also recognized their strength and resilience. He praised the community for sticking together through difficult times.
"It is with their help we are here today and so I would like to give mine thanks to them for being such strong pillars of this Community," Father Clark said, pointing to the District members.
The crowd erupted in applause, grateful for the support of their fellow community members.
Father Clark also introduced the Chapter of the Church, led by Justicar Vincent Haringoth. The Chapter of the Church is a re-established Order that has been instrumental in fighting evil throughout Azeroth.
"A couple of examples that come to my mind, was in Duskwood where they battled the Reign and its mindless followers. Within the City they battled the Browncloaks. For triumphs such as these and their consistent outcomes, I trust them wholeheartedly with rescinding this threat for good!" Father Clark exclaimed.
With the support of the Church, Father Clark hoped that the people of Old Town could work towards a future in which they would no longer have to fear evil threats.
After Father Clark's powerful sermon, it was time for Natalie Wright to speak. She did not seem entirely prepared for this, so she quickly welcomed Sir Drake Taylor of the Cathedral Chapter, who would lead the sermon for rest of the evening.

"Light Guide!" Natalie Wright exclaimed, as Sir Drake Taylor stepped up to speak.
Sir Drake Taylor, Warden to the Cathedral Chapter, greeted the crowd with a grin. "Brothers and Sisters, kin to the Alliance and friends amongst common cause. I am Sir Drake Taylor, Warden to the Cathedral Chapter. It is more than a pleasure to be stood here amidst our own, being able to speak with you."
Sir Drake Taylor spoke of the history of Old Town, and how the town had been built on the blood spilled during the Orcish Wars. He reminded the people of the sacrifices that had been made in the past and encouraged them to remember the strength and resilience that had been shown in the face of adversity.
"Today, we come together, specifically in 'Old Town'. Once the beating heart of the Kingdom of Azeroth prior to the Orcish Wars," Sir Drake Taylor said. "As one may see, Old Town gets its red colour to honour the blood spilled here during the defence of the Orc invasion."
Sure, that may be the case, but, Light knows A LOT of blood has run through those streets since, and most of it from fellow alliance citizens.
The crowd listened intently as Sir Drake Taylor spoke, his words resonating with them and in some cases, filling them with hope. As the sermon came to an end, the people of Old Town left feeling uplifted and inspired by the words of Father Clark and Sir Drake.
The Cathedral Chapter staid awhile after the sermon ended, and the sermon slowly transformed into an small gathering in Old Town where friends and strangers alike talked together and debated The Light, hope and guidance in a friendly manner.
The Holy Light illuminated Old Town, Stormwind, for a night, but the question is - is the Light staying? or are the more darkness loving inhabitants of the notoriously shady district going to fall back into shadows.
Time will tell, just as time will tell how rest of Stormwind will receive the Cathedral Chapter as they tour the city in the coming months, offering to break bread with strangers, as well as words of hope and community spirit.
