As we all know by now then the Dracthyr has arrived in the capitals of both the Horde and the Alliance and while there seem to be some mistrust (and of course the occasional dark-iron dwarf holding a grudge) then they seem to have been accepted by most.
When I walk the streets of Stormwind I see people teaching them about our society, our ways, and our history and I see Dracthyr taking it all in with an eager curiosity.
With the arrival of the Dracthyr, (and perhaps especially Wrathion who most may not remember fondly. A bringer or bad news some may say), then a lot of questions has also arrived, and of course here at the Lion's Roar we promised to try to give some of these answers.
According to two Dracthyr Scalecommanders (Some sort of leaders amongst their race) at the docks of Stormwind Harbour then the Dracthyr were created by a dragon aspect (A very old powerful dragon) almost 20,000 years ago when Azeroth was very different than what it is today. The dragon aspect was named Neltharion.
Neltharion used a powerful artifact to control the Dracthyr and they served him as soldiers against a growing threat - some sort of division amongst the early dragons - some became the aspects; some became bad guys. Anyway, artifact broke and Neltharion with the aid of another dragon aspect put the Dracthyr in a magic slumber.
More time passed and Neltharion turned into Deathwing - who I am sure everyone remembers - due to Old Gods corrupting him and promising him power. A story which seems to be repeated (so guys, please stop listening to whispers of untold power okay?) Anyway, not long ago the Dracthyr woke from the magically induced slumber, apparently coinciding with the ancient forces they used to wage war stirred once more and a big baddie got freed from their prison by these forces and some of the Primalist shamans now trying to summon elemental forces around Azeroth.

Land ahoy!
Being Kul Tiran I always wanted to put that in an article. Anyway.
When the Dracthyr awoke they found the world sundered and the isles they lived on invaded by these Primalist forces. Some Dracthyr went with Wrathion to Stormwind, Some went with another dragon to Orgrimmar, and some staid on the isles, and this is where it gets interesting for us normal people who aren't likely to run off fighting primal elemental forces and dragons 20,000 years old.
The Dragon Isles is a real place, not much is known about it but according to official sources (and not so official) then expeditions are being formed in both capitals and it won't be long before the first ships set sail to explore these - to us - until now, unknown isles.
Soldiers, researchers, adventurers, craftsmen, and other people are getting together and are planning to travel to the Dragon Isles as soon as they can. Each going for their own reasons, whether it is fame, fortune, knowledge, or just good old adventure then there is bound to be plenty of adventures ahead - and who knows, maybe we can prevent a major disaster before it starts this time around.
>The Lion's Roar will be funding an expedition to the Dragon Isles as well. It will be an expedition focussed on discovery and knowledge and interested people should get in touch with us as soon as possible.
