I was supposed to write an article about the yearly Gnomerial which took place on Friday, where gnomes and others gathered to remember the people who has fallen in the last years, but that dear readers, simply must wait.
In what can best be described as the biggest pieces of news the world has seen the last few years then yesterday was chaotic. Thrilling, exciting and slightly scary all at once. Hope mixed with dread - in other words - it seems like quite the adventure started!
Around noon a large group of soldiers rushed to the gates of Stormwind - lead by the not very secret spymaster Mathias Shaw, whom I swear does not look a day older than the first time I saw him. The man has secrets. Pun intended.
At the gates they were meet by none other than the - to some - extremely charming visage of the Black Prince himself, asking to speak to High-Exarch Turalyon. Oh, and he had a until today unseen race of dragonkin with him, the Dracthyr as they call themselves. Where they came from, and why - we will try to find out over the next few weeks here at the Lion's Roar, but for now they have been allowed into the city where - to quote Shaw "The SI:7 will be watching them".
Article continues after the ad.
If this is distrust of the Dracthyr or their benefactor, Wrathion, is unknown and any attempt to get a comment from SI:7 and the Spymaster himself has so far been met with a nice wheel of cheese from Trias’ Cheese. I interpret that as “No comments”.
As the day progressed, we saw increased elemental activity around Azeroth - elemental incursions lead by Primalist shamans. Our new field reporter Mharvin Roovar did an article on that yesterday, but the question remains if the two things are tied together - and if so - what it all means.
Stormwind seemed herself - albeit a bit quieter than normal - when I took my usual evening stroll to check the pulse. In the middle of all this chaos I have to admit it was nice to see two people new to Stormwind - enjoying an ice cream cone and looking out over the Lion's Rest Memorial.
